6-8 months in advance

FITNESS AND NUTRITION : Beauty starts from within. If you haven't started a fitness and nutrition plan yet but would like to, now is the time to do it. Doing this at the last minute often leads to crash dieting. However, crash dieting often leaves you feeling unfit, and you certainly don't want that on your wedding day. So start exercising and eating healthy early so you feel your best in your wedding dress.

VITAMINS : This is also part of a healthy lifestyle. Do you feel like you're lacking vitamins daily? Then eat an extra piece of fruit or take a supplement. Carefully consider which vitamins are right for you. Aim for beautiful, radiant, and even-toned skin on your special day!

SKINCARE : Start taking care of your skin right away if you're not already doing so. Make sure you thoroughly cleanse your skin every morning and remove all makeup before going to bed.

If you're struggling with your skincare routine or want to give your skin a little extra TLC, schedule an appointment with your beautician right away. Together, you can explore what you can do to ensure your skin looks perfect on your wedding day.

Don't forget your SPF too!

HAIR DYEING: If you're not sure what you want to do with your hair for your wedding, schedule an appointment with your hairdresser now. Perhaps you'd like to color your hair? This is the perfect time to try it. If something goes wrong, you'll still have plenty of time to fix it.

HAIR REMOVAL: If you want your legs and/or other parts of your body to be completely smooth on your wedding day, start with a (laser) treatment in time.

PERFUME: Do you already know which perfume you'll wear at your wedding? This could be a long-time favorite, or it could be a new scent specifically for your wedding. Find your favorite perfume.

SCHEDULE APPOINTMENTS: Start early! Space is limited, especially during wedding season, so schedule appointments with your makeup artist, hairstylist, and nail technician now. Already know what you want with your hair/makeup? Then find a stylist who suits your style.

SATIN PILLOWCASE: Buy a satin pillowcase for silky-soft hair. It also smooths skin, prevents sleep creases, refines wrinkles, fights blemishes, soothes itchy skin, improves hair shape, prevents split ends, and much more. You can buy a pillowcase from us! Click here .

4 months in advance

TRIAL SESSION: Get your hair and makeup done for the first time during a trial session. During this session, you can share your ideas with the stylist. Already know what you want to do with your hair and makeup? If not, check out Pinterest . It's truly THE place to find wedding inspiration. For everything, really: makeup, hair, decor, dress, etc. Also check out the stylist's social media. This way, you'll have a better idea of what they can and can't do.

Discuss all your wishes with the stylist and try out different styles. Do you have any makeup allergies? Share them with your stylist. Already have a hair accessory? Bring it along so you can create something beautiful together.

2 months in advance

TANNING : Want a sun-kissed tan on your special day? Start planning well in advance. This way, you'll have plenty of time to consider and explore all the options without looking like a carrot on your wedding day. Get a professional spray tan, avoid the tanning bed (preferably!), use a self-tanning product, or apply a light bronzer.

FITNESS: If you want to feel completely fit, now's the time to go all out. Work out a little longer and train other parts of your body so you look and feel your best on your wedding day.

BOTOX & FILLERS: If you'd like Botox or fillers, it's wise to have them done two months in advance. If anything goes wrong, you'll still have time to have it corrected. Is this your first time? Then come in early for an intake so you know what to expect. It's best to avoid major procedures right before your wedding. We want to prevent you from feeling uncomfortable or unfamiliar at your wedding.

MANICURE + PEDICURE: Decide what color you want to wear on your nails to reduce the stress of making a decision right before your wedding. From now on, get regular manicures and pedicures. Also, oil your cuticles at least twice a day and use a good hand cream. Keep a hand cream by the sink so you apply it immediately after every wash. Your hands are the center of attention in photos, so take extra good care of them.

TEETH WHITENING: Get your teeth whitened once and keep it up. This way, you're guaranteed perfectly white teeth on your wedding day. You can have this done professionally, but there are also at-home kits available. Decide what works best for you and try it out.

FACE + BODY HAIR REMOVAL: If you want to remove facial hair, you naturally don't want a rash. Start this early so your skin can adjust and recover, especially if you've never done this before. After hair removal, use a soothing (tea tree) oil or cream to reduce/prevent irritation.

EXFOLIATE: If you haven't started exfoliating your body yet, now's the time. Exfoliate your skin at least 2-3 times a week with a gentle scrub or soft exfoliating glove. You can also chemically exfoliate your skin (professionally) with salicylic acid or glycolic acid.

This is also the perfect time to make another appointment with your beautician for a nice treatment and possibly some tips.

Please schedule this at least 2 to 3 weeks in advance. If your skin becomes irritated, there's still plenty of time for it to heal.

In addition, place a moisturizing hand cream by the sink (if you haven't already), so that you can apply it to your hands immediately after each wash.

2 weeks in advance

BEAUTY EMERGENCY KIT: Gather everything for your Beauty Emergency Kit. This is a small bag containing all the essential beauty products you might need on your wedding day. Think of lipstick and gloss, concealer, blotting papers, bandages, cotton swabs, powder, chewing gum or mints, toothpicks, tissues, paracetamol, deodorant, bobby pins, hairspray, etc.

EYEBROWS: If you want to have your eyebrows tinted, waxed, trimmed, plucked, etc., do this at least one to two weeks before the wedding. The tint will then look good on your eyebrows but not too dark, and the shape will still be perfect. Two days beforehand, you can trim any visible hairs that have grown. This will prevent bumps and redness.

HAIRDRESSER: Go to the hairdresser and get your hair cut, colored, and treated. If you're prone to regrowth, do this in the last week. Perhaps you could even add a mask or keratin treatment to your haircut?

1 week in advance

FACIAL: Go for a final, super gentle facial for a beautiful glow. If you have sensitive skin, choose a treatment with products you're already familiar with to avoid irritation. So don't go for a whole new treatment.

5 days in advance

WAXING: If you haven't had your hair removed by laser, get it waxed. Make sure to do this at least five days beforehand so your skin can fully recover.

MASSAGE: Not a must, but very nice indeed; a wonderfully relaxing massage. You deserve it! Bring your husband-to-be and unwind together.

STOP USING SKINCARE PRODUCTS: Stop using certain skincare products like retinol, vitamin C, and chemical peels. If you've made a different arrangement with your esthetician, follow that advice. In all other cases, it's best to stop using more aggressive skincare products to prevent irritation.

3 days in advance

GO FOR A GLOW: Apply your favorite gentle exfoliator (not a professional peel) or mask for a beautiful glow. Choose a product your skin is already familiar with, so you're sure it can handle it.

EMERGENCY BEAUTY KIT: Do you have your emergency beauty kit all complete? If not, now's the time to gather the last few items.

2 days in advance

HANDS + FEET: It's almost time! Visit your nail technician to get your nails done.

SPRAY TAN: Want a spray tan for a sun-kissed look? This is the best time. The tan will still fade a bit, creating a natural look. Also planning a pedicure? Then go in for one first. Otherwise, there's a good chance your tan will be scrubbed off.

1 day in advance

HYDRATE: Drink plenty of water! Hydration is super important for radiant skin. It's best to avoid alcohol today.

RELAX: Go to bed on time so you're fully rested tomorrow. You've already taken care of everything, so don't forget to relax. Take a lovely shower and wash your hair extra thoroughly. Tomorrow is finally the day!

The big day

And now the most important thing: enjoy!
